Write for us
We commission and accept guest explainers that help Australian readers understand facial ageing, everyday skin care, clinic skin treatments, consultations and health-advertising law. We do not accept advertorials that promote a prescription-only medicine or promise a cosmetic outcome.
What to pitch
- Reported explainers with named public sources (AHPRA, TGA, Queensland Health, peer-reviewed papers).
- Practical process pieces: how a consultation is structured, how to read a consent form, how to check a register.
- Queensland-specific skin-care context: UV, humidity, heat after a procedure.
What we will reject
- Testimonials, influencer quotes, or “my patients love” language.
- Outcome claims, guaranteed results, or before-and-after photographs.
- Brand names or nicknames for Schedule 4 cosmetic injectables.
- Price lists for prescription-only products.
- Thin posts written only to place a backlink.
Links and disclosure
Educational citations to government and journal pages are welcome and stay as ordinary links. Any paid, affiliate or guest-placement link must be disclosed to editors and will be published with rel="sponsored" so Google can treat it as a paid link. We do not sell unmarked links.
How to send a pitch
Use the contact form and choose “Guest contribution”. Include a headline, a 150-word outline, your relevant credentials, and any conflicts of interest. Do not attach patient images.
Read the editorial standards before you draft. If you are unsure whether a sentence would advertise a medicine, cut it.
